William F. Duguid
Minister of Transport, Works and Maintenance, Barbados

William Fondleroy Duguid is a Barbadian oral surgeon, politician, and a current Cabinet Minister.


William Fondleroy Duguid was born on 20 November 1967 in Barbados to Kenneth and Joyce Duguid. He was educated at Merrivale Preparatory School, Harrison College, Barbados Community College, and the University of Wales College of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.


An oral surgeon by profession, Duguid successfully contested the Christ Church West constituency for the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) in the 2003 and 2008 general elections. He opted out of the 2013 election, but has been selected as the BLP's candidate for the next constitutionally due election.


He is a former 1st, 2nd, 3rd Vice President of the National Executive Council of the BLP , and a former General Secretary of the BLP.


Duguid will once again be contesting the Christ Church West seat for the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) in the 2018 general election.


After a stinct away from elective politics, Duguid returned to successfully contest the 24 May 2018 election and was appointed Minister of Transport, Works, and Maintenance in the Mia Mottley Administration.


Duguid is married and the father of two children.
