FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Regent Park Recognized as a Global Neighbourhood for Urban Transformation by World Urban Pavilion

Regent Park Recognized as a Global Neighbourhood for Urban Transformation by World Urban Pavilion Powered by Daniels; September 10, 2026 during UEF8

A major highlight of UEF8 will be the international recognition of Regent Park as a Global Neighbourhood and a leading example of urban transformation.

Widely recognized as one of North America’s most significant revitalization initiatives, Regent Park demonstrates how inclusive planning, community engagement, public-private partnerships, and long-term vision can contribute to meaningful social, economic, and environmental outcomes.

Through collaboration with international partners and agencies associated with the United Nations system, Regent Park will be showcased as a global model for urban regeneration and community-building. Forum participants will have the opportunity to visit Regent Park, engage with local stakeholders, and learn from one of the most compelling urban transformation stories of our time.

Today, Regent Park stands not only as a major redevelopment project, but as a golden practice offering important lessons for cities around the world seeking to build stronger, more equitable, and more resilient communities.
