North America, Women and Urban SDGs: An Urban Paradigm Shift Towards Gender Equality

Urban Thinkers Campus (The City We Need NOW!)

We need to recognize that Black and Indigenous women experience different forms of prejudice and racism than others in Canada. In order to eliminate bias and barriers, we must take a stance with those most affected and work from the ground up. We must take action for equality in collaboration with BI-POC individuals, and speak with them rather than for them. International Woman’s Day cannot be celebrated unless every woman is free to achieve their goals without racism, law, and politics as the ultimate roadblock.
