You gave a woman the sea, thinking she will drown. She sieved the sea to make sugar. Magic! - Ijeoma Umebinyuo

Women and girls bear the burden of gender inequity and all it entails - violence, exploitation, poverty, poor health. Yet across the globe, women and girls nourish families, protect the earth, build empires, raise up communities - they change the world.

Across the SDGs, women and girls are disproportionately impacted due to gender-inequity. To achieve the SDGs, we must place gender-equity at the centre. We must place value on women and girls, on their resilience, their power, their worth and watch them change the world for everyone around them.
