North America, Women and Urban SDGs: An Urban Paradigm Shift Towards Gender Equality

Urban Thinkers Campus (The City We Need NOW!)

This year, on March the 8th, we celebrate the International Women's Day, amidst a global pandemic, major security and humanitarian threats. Women have extraordinary resilience and talents, but still face gender prejudice, and continue to challenge the social, cultural and economic barriers imposed on them by gender bias that has been rooted in different societies, all over the world.  It is not possible to overcome these challenges unless we empower women leading and guiding the developmental path towards comfort, equal opportunities and security, alongside men.

So let us work hand in hand, creating a global synergy away from gender bias, limiting beliefs and various barriers to build prosperous cities we need now, and a better future we want for our children tomorrow.
