Tpl. Emmanuel ikechukwu is a professional urban planner and environmental enthusiast that resides in the garden city of port harcourt rivers state Nigeria. He is the lead consultant and md/ceo of metromax international limited, Nigeria; chairman of rivers state chapter of the Nigerian institute of town planners 9nitp0; chairman of nitp state chapter chairmen’s forum and chairman of south-south planners forum, Nigeria. He is a registered town planner duly licensed by the town planners registration council 9toprec of Nigeria. He is a full member of the Nigerian institute of town planners, associate member and country coordinator of African planners institute api –nigeria, a member of the national conservative forum of Nigeria and a fellow of the African makers. He has over ten 9100 years of experience under his belt working both as a Senior Town Planner and Project Planner. He has played key roles and made tangible contributions in the development of various land-uses and development plans in notable towns and cities in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He has also worked as HSE Advisor and played active role in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Audit (EA) of diverse shades in the Exploration and Oil & Gas Industry. He is an passionate facilitator of community engagement and sensitization with respect to the advancement of sustainable physical planning and development.


He holds a Bachelor Degree in Urban and Regional Planning (B.URP) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). He attended professional certification courses in diverse fields including Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Environmental Management, Leadership Development among others. He also holds a Certificate of Achievement in Development and Planning in African Cities from the University College of London (UCL); Certificate of Achievement in Resilient Settlements-2030 (Exploring Role of Spatial Planning) from School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal and Certificate of Completion of UN Special Module on Climate Change; he is currently in view of Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and Control from the SPDC Center for Environmental Management and Control of the University of Nigeria Nsukka-Enugu Campus.
