UEF and NewOak Capital Launch Global Financial Partnership to Accelerate Frontrunner Cities

  Toronto, Canada | Davos, Switzerland – January 22, 2026

The Urban Economy Forum (UEF) and NewOak Capital today announced a strategic partnership positioning NewOak Capital as Global Lead Financial Partner for the Frontrunner Cities Initiative –marking a decisive step toward a new generation of investment-driven urban transformation.

Formalized through a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding, the partnership establishes dedicated financial leadership to help cities translate long-term visions into scalable, bankable urban projects. The agreement will be signed on January 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST in Toronto, and concurrently recognized at 4:00 PM CET during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The collaboration strengthens the financial backbone of the Frontrunner Cities Initiative by aligning urban data, policy ambition, and project pipelines with institutional capital, ESG frameworks, and long-term value creation. Together, UEF and NewOak Capital aim to reduce the structural barriers cities face in accessing global finance and to accelerate implementation at scale.

“This partnership is about moving cities from intent to impact,” said Reza Pourvaziry, Chairman of UEF. “It reinforces the financial architecture cities need to act decisively.”

“Cities are where long-term value is created,” said Ron D’Vari, Founder and CEO of NewOak Capital. “With UEF, we are helping shape credible investment pathways that connect global capital to impactful urban transformation.”

This partnership affirms a shared responsibility: cities require credible partners, committed finance, and long-term engagement—because improving quality of life is not aspirational, but measurable, bankable, and investable.
