THE SECOND STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING 

3RD COLLINGWOOD WORLD SUMMIT: HABITAT IN TOWNS 2022

The Steering Committee met for the second time on May 30, 2022 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM (Eastern Toronto Time) in preparation for the 3rd Collingwood World Summit: Habitat in Towns 2022 (“herein Habitat in Towns 2022”). 

The theme for this year’s summit is Sustainable Housing and Finance as a catalyst for achieving the SDGs. At the meeting the following sub-themes were recommended to engage a global dialogue on with urban activists, town leaders, economists, finance institutions, architects, academics and civil society. The aim is to provide a perspective on sustainable and affordable housing, financial resources for town-level sustainability, climate action and financing, and the realization of the SDGs from town-to-town and city-to-city.

3. Town-level Sustainability

4. Climate change challenges and opportunities
