Professor Deborah de Lange, PhD (Strategic Management, University of Toronto) is a tenured research professor in Global Management Studies at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research examines topics related to sustainable development and she has published in numerous peer reviewed journals. Her three books: Cliques and Capitalism: A Modern Networked Theory of the Firm, Research Companion to Green International Management Studies, and Power and Influence: The Embeddedness of Nations examine sustainability issues. Other research focuses on the circular economy, stakeholder theory, sustainable business and entrepreneurship, sustainable finance, clean technology, cross-sector cooperation, international trade, sustainable governance (corporate, urban, and international), and international relations. She teaches topics such as sustainable business, mitigating climate change, research methods, international strategy, global issues, technology strategy, entrepreneurship and others related to sustainable development and organizations. She has university degrees from the University of Toronto and Queen’s University. Her extensive industry and consulting background enables her to advise start-ups across industries.
