Adamu Ahmed 

Director of External Relations and Partnerships at Historic Environment Scotland

Adamu Ahmed is tenure professor at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-Nigeria. He holds the degrees of Geography and Urban and Regional Planning. His research interests are in urban economy, urban growth dynamics and land administration. He has wide experience in policy making and was previously Commissioner in charge of land and urban planning at the sub-national government level. He sits on the Board of Trustees of the Nigeria Resilient Cities Network (NRCN), is founding Director of the UN University's Regional Centre of Expertise on Education (RCE) for sustainable Development based in Zaria, and Coordinator of the Centre for Spatial Information Science (CSIS) at Ahmadu Bello University.
